It's lovely to have you here

This Society is one of the many international branches of  The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in  Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded Christian Science, defined Christian Science as “the law of God, the law of good . . . ” (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1). She’d learned that God is infinite Love, and completely good. A clear glimpse of this through prayer has power to heal and transform anyone.

All are welcome

Rather than personal preaching at our services, two lay readers read a sermon made  up entirely of passages from the King James Bible and from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker  Eddy.

Whether you’ve had an opportunity to study through the week or if you are totally new to these teachings, it is in the quiet of listening to God’s Word that  the congregation feels the Holy Ghost entering our hearts to show us who  we are as God’s loved children.

Sunday Services

You’re warmly invited to our Sunday services, where you’ll hear music, singing, scriptural readings, prayer, and a sermon. The sermon is based on a weekly Bible lesson.

Christian Science Sunday School is a weekly one-hour session for children and young people up to age 20.

First Wednesday of the month Testimony Meeting

Wednesday meetings are similar to the Sunday services, but the scriptural selections are customized to the needs of the congregation and occasion. You’ll also hear fellow attendees share insights, experiences, and healings they’ve had as a result of their prayer and study of Christian Science.

Mary Baker Eddy

A spiritual pioneer

Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910) was the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, and author of its textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. She established the Church of Christ, Scientist, a Christian denomination and worldwide movement of spiritual healers. Her work covered the disciplines of science, theology, and medicine. She published 16 more books and started several weekly and monthly magazines that feature articles on Christian Science practice and verified testimonies of healing.

What is a Christian Science Reading Room?

Similar to a library or bookstore, a Reading Room offers a place to read, pray, and get inspired. It’s a space where many have been healed by studying the lessons of the Bible and nurturing a connection with God.
